(Reviewing in July, 2021) With the current climate of overpriced GPUs due to the components shortage, The GTX 980 out performs a GTX 1060, which is generally considered the best card for the money right now. The GTX 980 is considerably cheaper and offers superior performance, the only trade off is it only has 4GB ram and runs hot. I liquid cooled my 980 and it idles at 20c with a max of 55c under load, so no thermal throttling to maximise performance. If you game at 1080p, this is definitely the card for you right now!

I've not had a gaming graphics card before, but noticed a game i bought was pretty sluggish and another wouldn't even run without a better graphics card. The difference in speed and graphics quality in the game is amazing and i'm so glad i bought it. i'm not really into gaming - just a driving game and a flight simulator, but both work fantastically well with this card. I'm quite sensitive to sound levels, so was really pleased at how quiet it is.

I bought this to upgrade from my now very outdated 660ti. Firstly this is a big card in physical size and only just squeezed into my mid tower so i'd say check your measurements first. Now the performance so far is great although I haven't really pushed it yet. As for noise considering it has the 2 fans I can hear no difference from before fitting. If you can get this card sub £300 i'd definately say go for it you won't regret it.

This is an excellent card, noticeably better performance than my old R9 290X which sadly died recently. For around £200 this card is amazing value for money for 1080p as long as your comfortable with dropping some settings to high with the latest demanding games, Wildlands I'm looking at you 😂

Bought this to set up my oculus and it works perfectly. Just make sure your housing is big enough as this is a monster of a graphics card
